The top menu of the Cluster overview module has five tabs:

Cluster tab: with general cluster information

Resource allocation: Workload distribution and cluster homogeneity

Weekly consumption / Monthly consumption / Annual consumption: A graphical table to identify changes in CPU and RAM consumption in the cluster.

General Information

This frame displays information about the cluster's capabilities in terms of resources and functionalities. In the case of a VSAN, a + button appears to display the properties of the properties.

You can also obtain in 1 click the list of VMs and / or ESX of the cluster

Clusteroverview2

Allocation of resources

This section allows you to analyse the resources allocated to the virtual machines virtual machines according to the resources of the different physical servers servers in the cluster. The red zone identifies the value to allocate / The red zone identifies the value to be allocated / provisioned to the virtual machines that must not be exceeded. The overcommitment threshold is calculated from the parameters of the Capacity planning.

Clusteroverview4

Consumption of resources

This frame shows the usage status of the cluster servers on the last last day. Three resources are analysed: memory consumption, processor consumption and storage. For these resources, the average consumption (USED). The blue indicator allows to display what has been allocated / provisioned to the virtual machines. This frame allows you to situate the current activity of the cluster according to its capacity.

Resource distribution tab

Distribution of resources by server

This section aims to analyse the homogeneitý of the cluster. Three possible states are represented by the colour grey, orange and red for a given resource. For example the number of virtual machines that are running on a server, the white dot corresponds to the server that hosts the largest number of virtual machines. The blue dot corresponds to the server that hosts the smallest number of virtual machines and the virtual machines and the green dot represents the average per server.

Clusteroverview6

In case the difference between the average and a bound is is more than twice the average the colour is orange. If this If this difference reaches four times the average the colour is red.

Clusteroverview7

Weekely Consumption / Monthly Consumption / Yearly consumption tabs

A graphical table to identify changes in CPU and RAM consumption in VMs Servers clusters.

At the top right of the table you can select the granularity, counter and resource.
