The VM Overview module allows users to organize VMs according to their software characteristics, the consumption of resources or according to performance indicators.
Information
The first tab VM Information provides a graphic with the distribution of the Operative Systems in each VM. Additionally, it groups the static information of VMs in a table as follows:

Some properties are not always available for all VMs. In this case the value of the property will appear as Null
Consumption
The second tab VM Consumption shows information about the VM consumptions. Consumptions are recorded in a DC Scope database. In order to facilitate the organization of consumptions, metrics are calculated over a period of analysis which can contain a large number of logs. By clicking on the VM name, the period of analysis for that VM will zoom in. Using this feature, the user can look for events in smaller periods of time. The minimum period of time for the analysis is one hour.

Synthesis
The third tab_VM Synthesis_ provides a detailed overview of each VM. Click on the search bar on the top of the frame to select a VM. Once a VM is selected, the different details of the VM will appear.
General Information
This frame provides general information of the VM such as the creation date of the VM, the annual cost of the VM and the comments associated to the VM from VMware. Additionally, you can add information (fields in red) regarding the owner, environment, end date and comments. This information will be available only from DC Scope.
The color cube in the top left represents the behavior status of the VM:
Location information
This frame provides the location information of the VM. It will list the host, folder, resource pool, datastore and tags associated with the VM.
System Information
The system information will provide information regarding the operating system in the VM, the status of VMware tools, the status of the VM in the datacenter, the behavior status of the VM, the troubleshooting status and the configuration of High Availability of the VM.
Capacity Information
This frame provides information regarding the VCPU, VRAM and storage allocated to the VM as well as the capacity of the server/datastore hosting the VM.
Activity vs Capacity
The Activity vs Capacity frame compares different criteria of the selected VM against an average VM in the infrastructure. These criteria are:
- CPU activity
- CPU capacity
- RAM activity
- RAM capacity
- Troubleshooting
- Storage capacity
VM Life Cycle
The Life Cycle tab provides the information of the migrations, changes, and modifications in the VMs. It will list any move of the VM among the servers, changes in the resources allocated and changes in the status as well as the user that made such change.
Weekely Consumption / Monthly Consumption / Yearly consumption
A graphic table to identify the changes in the consumption of CPU and RAM in the VMs.
In the top right of the table, you can select the granularity, the counter and the resource.
